FAQ

Yes. If you have an uncomplicated pregnancy without any specific risks, regular physical activity and strength training are actually recommended and can support the health of both you and your baby.
They may help reduce the risk of gestational diabetes, back pain, antenatal depression, excessive weight gain, pregnancy-related high blood pressure, and preeclampsia. Babies of physically active mothers are also more likely to have a normal, healthy birth weight. There is also evidence suggesting that exercise during pregnancy may have a positive effect on the child’s metabolic development.

Starting as early as the first few days after birth, you can begin with light exercises such as pelvic floor awareness and gentle activation, breathing exercises, and light mobility exercises, which can then be gradually increased. Traditional postpartum recovery typically begins around 6 to 8 weeks after birth, or even earlier if the wound has healed well.

You can generally resume running, stop-and-go activities, and heavy strength training after approximately 3 to 6 months, depending on your recovery, pelvic floor and core function, and your fitness level before pregnancy. Targeted abdominal exercises can be started in moderation as early as around 6 weeks. The key factors here are function, tension control, and any discomfort you may experience. You should not develop a protrusion along the center of your abdomen.

This depends on your insurance plan and the optional benefits you have selected. It is recommended that you check directly with your supplemental insurance provider. I am certified by Qualitop for personal training and Pilates, which is covered by certain supplemental insurance plans.
